jql - JSON Query Language - is a fast and simple command-line tool to manipulate JSON data.

Usage: jql [OPTIONS] [QUERY] [OPTIONAL_FILE]

What it is

jql selects and filters JSON with selectors such as "key", [0], ranges and |> pipes, aiming for something simpler to type than jq for everyday lookups.

Install and run it from your page

With the SDK, installApp resolves jql in the signed index, fetches its content-addressed chunks from the CDN, verifies each one and writes the files into the VM. Details in Installing catalog apps.

javascript
import { createNano } from "@userland-run/nano-sdk";

const nano = await createNano({ image: { wasm: "/nano/console.wasm" }, ramMB: 512 });
await nano.installApp("jql"); // signature-verified, cached in OPFS

const r = await nano.shExec("jql --version");
console.log(r.stdout);

Typical usage of the upstream command-line tool:

bash
jql '"deps"' package.json
